Daddy Rich began his musical career in East Texas in Daingerfield as a duo called "Night and Day" and then moved to Dallas where he was a member of "Warm Excursion." After joining the Navy he formed a quartet called "2+2" where they performed with the Navy's 7th Fleet Band touring the West Coast, Far East, Australia, and Western Pacific.
